A stunning video by photographer Elena Kotenko, shows the moment a volcanic explosion bursts through snow and ice.
The volcano is called Ebeko and is located on Paramushir Island, in the Kuril Islands, Russia. The eruption was likely caused by an interaction between snow and ice with lava in the volcano’s core, according to the publication.
