The beautiful Tibetan Blue Bear

There are 8 species of bear that roam planet earth across 4 continents. Amongst those 8 species are an additional 7 subspecies that are less common.

YouTube channel Textbook Travel does a fantastic job breaking down each individual species and subspecies in the video below. It’s particularly fascinating to learn about the rare subspecies that you’ve (probably) never heard of.

The most interesting was the Tibetan Blue Bear. Wouldn’t it be incredible to see one of these bears in the wild? Their markings are beautiful!

Textbook Travel: “There are 8 species of bear found on 4 of the 7 continents. From the gigantic polar bears of the Arctic to the tiny sun bears of Southeast Asia, the Ursidae family also contains many interesting subspecies featuring a wide range of colour morphs. In this guide, we’ll explore 15 species/subspecies and where they abide. Let’s dive in!”
