With Epic Pass sales up 47% in units since last season, crowds are going to play a part at many Vail Resorts properties this winter. To counter this, Vail is spending big on infrastructure to replace lower capacity lifts. The video down below from Vail Resorts details the big projects that happened this past offseason, and what will be coming in 2022. Also, Vail has expanded their Epic Lift Upgrade in 2022 to twenty-one lifts. New fixed-grip quads will be coming to Jack Frost and Big Boulder in Pennsylvania. Here are the details about those plans: “Jack Frost will receive three new fixed-grip 4-person chairs (one to replace the B & C lifts, another to replace the E & F lifts, and the third to replace the East 1&2 doubles) and Big Boulder will receive two fixed-grip 4-person chairs to replace the Merry Widow 1 & 1 doubles and the Edelweiss Triple. “

They also recently released a video of the new terrain at McCoy Park, the new beginner pod over at Beaver Creek. The video features some stunning drone shots of the construction process.
