By no means does wearing an ABS backpack ensure your survival if caught in an avalanche, but it does improve your chances of staying on the surface. “3, 2, 1 jump, then a few spinning movements, when I suddenly noticed that the whole slope was breaking very quickly. I leaned back and went straight ahead in order to get past the avalanche, but it was already very, very tall and still growing every second.
My ABS airbag kept me on the avalanche surface and protected me against shocks, preventing me from serious injuries – it’s thanks to him that I’m still here today!”
