Pro surfers Jesse Mendes and Mikey Wright had a hilarious little scuffle in the parking lot of the iconic North Point surf spot in Australia a few years ago. The video shows Mendes and Wright dropping in on the same wave. Wright pulls out ahead of Mendes and cuts him off causing him to wipe out.
Mendes then confronts Wright in the parking lot and repeatedly bumps Wright with his surfboard as they argue. I just find it so hilarious that this is how two professional surfers argue. They just lightly hit their surfboards against each other as they’re probably screaming insults.
I know all fights over surfing don’t end this peacefully, but I like to imagine that this is how they play out. Just some long-haired surf bros bumping boards and jawing at each other to settle their disputes. So funny.
