GoPro Launches New Cold Weather Battery

New GoPro battery, Enduro

GoPro’s all-weather camera technology is pretty damn remarkable already. The fact that they’ve developed a pocket-size camera that can withstand water, snow, ice, sand, dirt, and mud is pretty remarkable in itself.

The only compliant I’ve heard from people who use GoPros on a regular basis for content creation is the battery life in cold weather. Having to carry multiple batteries to shoot in extremely cold conditions can be a hassle, and it seems like GoPro has created the Enduro Battery to address this problem.

The new battery will run you $24.99. Here are the specs for how long you can shoot (on average) when the battery is temperature is 14°F according to GoPro:

Here are the specs when the Enduro battery temperature is 77°F:

Seems like a must-have for anybody who owns a GoPro and likes to record long sessions out in the winter elements. Those geniuses over at GoPro are just always one step ahead of the game. You gotta hand it to them. They’ve been crushing the action-sports market for over a decade, and it doesn’t appear that there’s an end in sight.
