Trail map Little Switzerland

Little Switzerland is one of the better-known ski areas in Southern Wisconsin. The hill attracts skiers and riders from Milwaukee, Madison, and surrounding areas for turns on snow. We take what we can get in these flat, yet very cold parts of the country.

The ski area is gearing up for opening day on Black Friday, and a local news outlet did a quick video on the hill’s impressive snowmaking system.

Kind of neat little nugget included by the ski area’s co-owner about how more effective the snow guns are in really cold temps. I figured that they would work better in cold temps, but I had no idea it was that substantial.

Fun fact- Little Switzerland is one of the 80 ski areas included on the Indy Pass. Passholders get two days of skiing or riding at each of the 80 resorts for only $299! Pass prices go up after November 30th, so get to buying those passes if you haven’t already!
