Can we stop and take a moment to acknowledge the face that the ‘Jaws of Life’ is probably the coolest name ever conceived? I mean whoever thought of that name is an absolute marketing genius. It really gets people intrigued and carries a certain buzz when uttered or read. Ask yourself, did you click on this blog because of the name ‘Jaws of Life’ alone? Odds are that you did.
Anyways, The Colorado Springs Fire Department was called to a residential area to rescue a deer that was stuck in a rod iron railing. The railing was no match for the badass “Jaws of Life” and the deer was freed in just a matter of minutes. Check out the video below.
#ColoradoSpringsFire This afternoon CSFD’s Heavy Rescue Team was called out to a deer stuck in a rod iron railing. The crew used the jaws of live to free the deer and released the animal back out to the open area. It did not appear as if the deer had suffered any injuries. pic.twitter.com/PcitCAyZHY

I always wonder what animals who are rescued by humans say to their herd when they return. I know I’m being a little silly here, but I like to think that this deer rejoined her herd and had a melancholy yet introspective conversation with her best friend about how her whole perspective on life has changed considering she nearly died.
She now realizes how fragile life is, and is going to put her ‘best hoof forward’ from now on, and celebrate each day like its her last. 😂
