This is a textbook definition of getting “cliffed out.” The Snoqualmie Pass hiker in the video attempted to scale a near-vertical wall without any climbing gear. At some point, he realized he could no longer safely continue up or retreat down and had to call in a helicopter for the rescue.Great reminder not try any impromptu rock climbing while out for a hike or you may end up like this dude.
