We’ve talked about some pretty crazy landing strips here on Unofficial Networks over the last couple of years. Notable ones include Telluride and Courchevel, but have you ever seen somebody landing a plane at Chagual Airport (SPGL), Peru?

The approach requires planes to navigate through narrow mountain passes and touch down along the banks of the Marañón River. The runway is surrounded by mountains in all directions.

Check out this video of somebody landing a plane at the airport back in 2013. It’s almost unbelievable that they even built an airport here in the first place. What in the aviation hell were they thinking? 😂
