Cheers boys and girls of the Lake Tahoe region.
Boreal Mountain will join the ranks of Mammoth Mountain and Palisades Tahoe in spinning lifts well-ahead of schedule.
36″ of fresh snow fell on Boreal earlier this week, and the crews have been working hard to get the slopes ready for the mountain’s earliest opening in a decade.
Check out the full details from Boreal below, and get stoked! Winter came early for Tahoe this year.
“October 25, 2021 was a historical day for Boreal, with the ‘bomb cyclone’ dropping over 3 feet of snow. When the sun went down and the heavy rains turned into rapid snowfall, the excitement started building, and the Boreal Crew was ready to respond. With their combined skills and effort, multiple teams began working around the clock to get the property ready for action!
So, to answer your question, does this mean Boreal will open early? Yes! We are opening this Friday at 10am! Get your winter gear packed up, your boards and skis waxed, and your snow tires on, because it’s Go Time!”
