Mother nature can certainly be brutal. In particular, the food chain can be hard to watch. Nobody wants to see their favorite adorable creature become a meal for a bigger, hungry predator.
This following incident was caught on film by a few groups of tourists in small boats. We have a loveable Gentoo penguin cruising around in the icy Antarctic waters. A pod of Orcas, or killer whales approach. Naturally, the whales start to pursue the little penguin in hopes of a tasty snack.
The penguin needed to get out of the water quickly. Shortly after the chase began, the penguin made an attempt to jump into one of the boats of tourists. He grazed the side of the boat on his first attempt and somewhat comically bounced off the side of the boat on his second. On his third leap, the penguin finally got in the boat with the helping hand of a human.
Well played, penguin. We admire your persistence.
