Most people make loud noises with their mouth and try to make themselves look big when they encounter a mountain lion in the wild, but this woman from British Columbia decided a heavy metal song might due the trick.
Dee Gallant played the song ‘Don’t Tread on Me’ by heavy-metal band Metallica from her iPhone to fend off a mountain lion she encountered on a trail in Vancouver back in 2019. Don’t know how I missed it, but apparently she went viral at the time. Still pretty awesome today.
I was trying to think what songs I would play to scare off a mountain lion if I ever encountered one in the wild. Something tells me my classic rock, popular hip-hop, and relaxing EDM music probably wouldn’t do the trick.
