Solitude Mountain Resort in Big Cottonwood Canyon, UT announced today via social media that they will operate on an enhanced lift schedule to allow for more time on the mountain.
Lifts will spin 8am-4pm on weekends and holidays starting in December, and will run 9am-5pm everyday starting in March 2022. This move essentially gives skiers and riders an extra hour on the mountain before and after day light savings time.

Pretty neat that a resort is taking steps to allow for more time on the mountain. Most resorts without night skiing will operate 9am-4pm throughout the entirety of the season. This always seemed stupid to me in the Spring when the sun might not set until 6pm or later.
Good on Solitude for taking a progressive step forward. Hopefully more resorts will follow-suit!
