How cool must it be to be considered the fattest bear at Brooks Falls in Katmai National Park, Alaska? The area is riddled with large bears stocking up on fresh salmon to prepare for the coming hibernation, but only one bear takes the cake as the fattest bear.
That title goes to Bear 32. Otherwise known as Chunk The Hunk!
Can we take a moment to appreciate how great of a nickname that is? Being large and getting extra fat is a sign of dominance when it comes to grizzlies getting ready for hibernation, and this guy is so huge that humans gave him an adorably appropriate nickname.
I mean you can tell just by looking at this footage that 32 is a big boy, and experts think he’s probably weighing in over 1,100 lbs.!
