Home Surveillance Camera Captures Devastating Speed of Flash Flood In Real-Time

A severe flash flood tore through the town of Waverly, Tennessee late last month that caused widespread devastation and killed 20 people. The flood was spurred by 10-15″ of rain falling on middle Tennessee in just 12 hours.

One survivor shared footage from his home surveillance camera that shows just how quickly the flood waters rose. The water went from a slow trickle to several feet deep in just a matter of minutes.

It’s unbelievable to watch this happen in real-time and hear his story about having to rush his family to the roof for safety. Mother nature’s power is immense.
