Got a crazy video out of California this morning of a huge dust devil that went spinning through a wildland firefighter camp. The video was filmed on September 7th at a temporary camp for firefighters battling the Antelope Fire in northeast California.

“This video is of a large dust tornado, better known as a dust devil. It contained winds upwards of 40-50mph and was over 50 feet wide at the base and over 150 feet tall. The dust devil came through a fire camp set up on the outskirts of the Antelope Fire in Northeast California. Fire camps are used to house wildland firefighters and support staff.”

Hope everybody was alright! That thing looked like a miniature tornado.
