“The Phase AD3 is a labour of love nearly 6 years in the making. It takes an Orange Phase chassis and a custom front end linkage designed by Alex Desmond, combining them to produce a ‘go anywhere’ adaptive mountain bike.”

To say I’m at a loss for words is an understatement. I’m absolutely blown away by this innovative adaptive mountain bike from Orange Bikes.

Traditional adaptive mountain bikes require the rider to sit in a reclined position close to the ground for stability on the trail. The Orange Phase AD3 eliminates that requirement by providing stability using two front wheels and a genius balancing system that the rider can control with a lever.

The bike is also charged up with an electric motor, and it absolutely rips on the trail. Orange Bikes built this prototype for a former pro rider that wasn’t able to ride anymore due to serious injuries while on tour.

She’s now able to rip down the trails in an extremely advanced rig that she says simulates a traditional mountain bike riding experience. Truly incredible. MORE INFO HERE.
