Have a good look at these gorgeous mustard yellow gennies at Snowbird.  The folks at CAT Electric put this little showreel together after replacing the old engines they installed back in 1986 that had nearly 300,000 operating hours. Snowbird worked with Caterpillar Inc. and Wheeler Power Systems to implement a power grid that captures heat waste from the resort’s generators and uses it to heat the resort’s buildings and water. This is massive step for Snowbird and the ski resort industry in general. Energy efficiency is the name of the game and The Bird is out front.
