It’s always a sad time of the year when the last north american ski resort stops spinning lifts on snow for the season. Timberline usually claims that title for the longest outdoor snow season, and this year is no different.

Timberline announced that closing day will be August 15th for the season. It’s incredible that the resort has kept the Palmer Snowfield open this long considering the record-breaking temps that swept through the PNW in June, and the daily warmer-than-average temps.

Kudos to the grooming and maintenance teams at Timberline for keeping the season going as long as they could!

Pour one out for the ’20-’21 winter season, but get excited because ’21-’22 is right around the corner!
