Apparently floating billboards in Miami have been around for years and  there’s not much anyone can do to stop it. Adam Shapiro, owner of water-based multi-media company Ballyhoo Media in Miami points to the sky, suggesting that delivering ads to beach goers is nothing new with planes trailing banners in use for 60+ years. Planes buzzing over you while you try to enjoy the beach definitely sucks as well but interrupting your horizon with floating LED screens selling you Big Gulps is a new level of obnoxious intrusion. Shapiro has already expanded operations out of state and seems to be looking for new markets. How’d you like to see your favorite stretch of beach get the Times Square treatment?
