Some good news and bad news out of Australia this week. The good news is that it has been dumping snow in Australia and more snow is on the way!

The bad news? Most major ski resorts, outside of Perisher are shut down due to lockdowns from the delta variant in the major metropolitan areas in the country. Folks in Sydney, which is Perisher’s main market, can not travel to the mountain due to the city being in lockdown. The State of Victoria, home of the major hub of Melbourne, has been shut down since this past Friday. According to the BBC, The lockdown in Victoria has been extended to midnight, July 28th, and the Sydney lockdown could last until September.

Gut-wrenching stuff. Hopefully, our mates in Australia can shred again soon.
