Big Sky Resort has released a limited amount of tram access packs to the public. A three-day unlimited pack will cost you $150, while a five-day pack will cost $225. This comes to about $50 per day for the three days and $45 for the five days.

This past spring, Big Sky Resort announced that the only season pass that will get you unlimited Lone Peak Tram Access would be to Gold Pass Members. Double Black Pass Members will have ten days on the tram, which seems like a sufficient amount for a shredder with a season pass. Other pass holders, such as Ikon, Mountain Collective, Black, Blue, Green, and other Boyne Resort passes will have to pay for these Tram Access Passes.

The change in tram availability comes as demand for Big Sky Resort increases.  A rising population around Bozeman (about an hour outside of Big Sky), increasing airline routes to Bozeman’s airport, rapid growth in the amount of Ikon and Mountain Collective Pass users, and the transformative Big Sky 2025 plan has made it a bucket list mountain for many skiers. There are also only two 15-person cabins on the tram, which makes the lines for the lift on crowded days massive.

You can purchase your tram access packs here. If you plan on skiing Big Sky Resort next season, this option will likely be cheaper than buying a Tram Access Pass at the ticket window.
