Just stumbled across this clip from Warren Miller’s ‘In Search of Skiing’ from 1977 that shows a 70s ski bro rocking one ski with his feet in-line.

Looks like from the beginning of the clip that his front boot was clipped in with a binding and his back boot slipped into a flexible toe binding, similar to a lot of slalom waterskis you see ripping up lakes and rivers.

This is different, of course, from the traditional monoski that has bindings parallel and in line with each other on a single wide ski.

I imagine that rocking this set up wasn’t easy even though he makes it look like a walk in the park. So rad.

Can we get a ski shop to retro fit some old long planks with these bindings for gaper day next year?

Picture you and 500 of your drunkest friends trying to ski down the resort on this sketchy monoski set up. Would probably be a blast 😆
