Another week, another chairlift raffle. Trollhaugen Outdoor Recreation Area in Wisconsin announced on Monday that they will be raffling forty of their Chair 1 double lift that was just removed this spring. From July 5th through 11th, a free lottery will be run through Eventbrite. The live lottery drawings will be held on July 12th between 12-1 pm Central Time on Trollhaugens Facebook Page to announce the winner. If you win, you’ll have to pay $850 dollars to officially purchase the relic.
Trollhaugen is currently undergoing a major transformation over the next couple of years. A new quad chair will be installed in place of the double and will open this upcoming winter. Other upgrades that will be happening this summer include cutting trails for the east side of the summit expansion and adding snowmaking infrastructure to these new trails. In the Summer of 2022, the clearing of these new trails will be completed, the snowmaking pipes along with lights for night skiing will be fully installed. In the summer of 2023, a new three-person lift will be constructed to service this new terrain.
