By

“Big thanks to Squaw Alpine for some amazing training days and for always supporting us! So fun to be back on snow with the team!!”

Some of the top alpine skiers in the world are calling Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows home for spring training including 2-time Olympic gold medalist and 3-time World Cup overall champion Mikaela Shiffrin.

The Tahoe Daily Tribune reports Shiffrin is there with a group of heavy hitters from the U.S. Alpine Ski Team on their annual trip to Squaw to take advantage of it’s world renown spring conditions. The women have been training hard in Shirley Lake area following the season’s final races.

If you see any of nation’s best skiers on the mountain or around town give them a thumbs up and word of encouragement and relish in the fact that Tahoe is one of the best places on the globe for springtime shredding.
