*Thump, thump, thump* Is this thing on?

There is a POWDER ALERT in effect for Winter Park Resort. Over 12″ of fresh snow blanketed the slopes last night.

Conditions are stellar heading into the finals weeks of the season, and the resort is expecting another 14″ over the next three days.

Here’s the snow stake for further evidence…

The resort has totaled 331″ so far this season putting them just over their annual average of 336.9″.

Nearby ski areas like Loveland, Arapahoe Basin, and Breckenridge are significantly below their average snowfall totals.

I guess sometimes you’re lucky, and sometimes you aren’t. Seems like Winter Park has been lucky all season!
