Colorado drivers now have the option of to buy the rights to weed-themed license plate configurations in an effort to raise funds for the Colorado Disability Funding Committee. Bidders are buying the rights to use the license plate configuration on their official Colorado license plate and will be responsible for paying standard DMV registration fees. 14 license plates are on the auction block with words like BONG, GANJA, and TEGRIDY. Current top bid is on license plate reading “ISIT420” at $6,520. The bidding page also included the following disclaimer:
“DON’T DRIVE HIGH! PLEASE USE CANNABIS RESPONSIBLY, WITHIN THE LIMITS OF ALL COLORADO LAWS.”
