Loveland Ski Area announced via Twitter that 3 of its chairlifts will not run today.

The lifts are closed due to limited visibility, according to OutThere Colorado.

The ski area has received 17″ of snow in the last 48 hours, and is currently experiencing 30-40 mph wind gusts.

Take a look at this screen shot of Loveland’s webcams on Chair 9, you can tell how socked in it is up there.

I guess the powder hounds will have to wait until tomorrow to get some turns on that fresh snow… let’s just hope the wind doesn’t blow it all away!
