“A couple of months ago, LEGO Ideas was running a contest in celebration of sport, and I was inspired to build a scene of minifigs enjoying some downhill skiing. My main goal was to build a simple surface lift to bring the minifigs up the slope and start them down the ski run, but the model eventually expanded to include a detailed winter chalet and a working starting gate.”

All you skiing LEGO-Maniacs out there are going to love this alpine creation by JK Brickworks. Lots of little details to enjoy but the working rope-tow that sends the skiers downhill unassisted is truly impressive. Admittedly I’m a huge sucker for a cool LEGO project, hope you enjoy.
