Tragic news out of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort where a 27-year-old snowboarder was found dead in a tree well after going missing Sunday February 14th. Buckrail reports at 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 14, a group reported their friend missing, last seen in the Grizzly Glade area off of the Teton Lift at approximately 10:45 a.m. Jackson Hole Ski Patrol launched a search until 8:45 p.m. Sunday and resumed at 6:30 a.m. Monday. Grand Teton National Park, Teton County Search and Rescue, and the Teton County Sheriff were involved to support the effort to find the snowboarder. He was discovered in a tree well Monday morning. No other details or name of the victim have been released at this time. Our sincerest condolences to the family and friends of the snowboarder.
