We reported back in December that 60 cases of COVID-19 were linked to an employee gathering at Big White Ski Resort.

CBC News is now reporting that 162 cases of the virus are linked to the resort in British Columbia.

Big White reportedly fired ten employees for breaking their contractual obligations to report COVID-19 symptoms to managers and for failing to follow public health orders restricting social gatherings.

There are 29 active cases, and 133 people have recovered from the virus. Health officials have stated that the outbreak is linked directly to the employee party, and no connections have been made to the resort (or skiing at the resort).
