KOB4 reports several small spot fires continue to burn at Purgatory Ski Resort after a fire was sparked Wednesday at the top of Lift 1. Officials don’t know what started the fire.
“One thing that is important to note about this fire is that, the term we use is spotty, and that means the main body of the fire is six acres but there are several small spot fires within a close fire.” –San Juan National Forest Spokesperson Esther Godson
Air crews supported fighters on the ground Thursday. No building have been damaged and no evacuation orders are in place.
