Had to do a bit of googling about Dick Durrance and his revolutionary “Dipsy Doodle” ski technique. Dick came up with the short series of turns that let him maintain control in steep terrain while he skied the canyon walls of Alta as the resort was still under construction. The style caught on and was widely adopted. Can’t wait for the snow to start flying so I can get out and Dipsy Doodle:
