Alpine-X is moving forward with their proposal to build the longest indoor ski facility near Washington D.C..

The building is set to appear for public hearings pending an approval by local government.

Year-round skiing could happen for the D.C. metro area

The proposed site for the ski facility is an inactive landfill in Fairfax County, VA. The facility will include luxurious amenities, a gondola, multiple slopes, tubing, ropes courses, a mountain coaster, a zip line and even plans for an indoor water park.
