The first piece of the puzzle is a brand-new detachable six-pack that adds 50 skiable acres and pushes Nordic Valley’s max vertical over 1,300′. That’s a large leap from the resort’s long-standing peak which only provided ~900′.
The rest of the expansion will be implemented over the coming years.
The resort currently provides 140 skiable acres, but is looking to expand to roughly 2,800 acres. The expansion could shift Nordic Valley into the national spotlight, and away from its current image of being a mountain only suitable for locals and beginners.
I’ve driven by Nordic Valley numerous times on my way to Snowbasin and Powder Mountain. I never thought much of it. But now I have to wonder…Will the expansions at Nordic Valley make it the new premier ski destination in Utah?
