Enjoy this throwback video originally available on VHS hosted by K2 (yep the same company that makes skis) who put a $50,000 bounty on the biggest wave of the winter in 1998. Back in the day if you were looking for the biggest surf on erf the crosshairs hovered over the Pacific. Mainly on Todos Santos in Mexico, The Northshore of Oahu or Mavericks in NorCal (no mention of Nazaré, Portugal, which is the current mega-wave capital). Won’t spoil the results, great watch:
