Due to the coronavirus emergency, all ski resorts in Italy will be closed. This was reported by the Minister for Regional Affairs Francesco Boccia.

It’s official: due to the coronavirus emergency, all ski resorts in Italy will be closed with immediate effect. This was communicated by the Minister for Regional Affairs and Autonomies Francesco Boccia during the press conference from the Civil Protection headquarters in Rome.

The minister also stressed that this decision was fully granted by all the presidents of the Regions and autonomous provinces.

Minister Boccia said, “Since in some areas the message has not passed, we have decided unanimously to close the ski resorts”.

This will likely mean the end of the season for many Italian ski resorts.
