On any given weekend during the winter, tens of thousands of skiers and snowboarders pile onto 1-70 to make their pilgrimage to the resorts but how many of them think about the hard work that goes into preventing potentially deadly rockfalls along the steeply embanked highway?

Here’s a quick look at the dudes who have the gnarly job of using pry bars while hanging off a rope to dislodge problematic rocks and explosive engineers that get to safely blow up the sides of mountains for a living.
