On Friday, A-Basin gave skiers and riders less than two hours’ notice that they were going to open, just so that they could beat out Keystone and win the race for the first resort to open in Colorado. Guaranteed next year, there will be further last-minute shenanigans in the race to be first. The bar has been set. Game on.
