Vail Resorts announced the cause of a July 3rd malfunction that triggered a midair evacuation of the Eagle Bahn gondola. Apparently undetected ground shifting caused 20 of the 24 bolts securing the tower to become dangerously loose. Thankfully no one was injured but that is some scary shit. Yikes.
