According to The Weather Network, the first snows of the season are forecasted to fall on certain regions of northern Quebec thanks to hurricane Dorian.

Cold air coming down from the arctic with overnight lows of 0 ° C for the most northerly regions mixed with moisture from Dorian will bring sometimes heavy liquid precipitation in the east of the province.

According to Waldir Da Cruz, meteorologist at The Weather Network, all the conditions will be right for some flakes in Gaspésie Park.

Surprisingly, this is not an abnormally early snowfall for northern Quebec. Just two years ago, the first flakes of the season fell on August 31 in Fermont.
