“Celebrate the National Park Service’s 103rd birthday on August 25. Check the calendar below to find special birthday events at parks. The National Park Service was created on August 25, 1916, when President Woodrow Wilson signed the National Park Service Act. Each year, we work with partners to celebrate this anniversary. Find a park near you or events happening at parks across the country.”

Just a quick heads up, The NPS is celebrating it’s 103rd birthday with free entrance to nationwide sites that typically charge a fee. You’re still on the hook for activities like camping or special tours but entrance fees have been waived for Sunday. Hope you can take advantage of this birthday special and explore the cathedrals of America!
