Start your week with an ode to the forefathers of modern skiing. Filmed by the legendary Warren Miller.
A couple of observations about this video.
- Was every skier world-class at moguls?! I mean, look at those knees. You couldn’t fit a piece of paper between those bad boys.
- How cold were they? Were they always wet? I wasn’t expecting to see any 3-L Goretex jackets out there, but come on! I have a feeling wool sweaters, and tights could have been improved on.
- I want to time travel back with my ski gear. I’ll show Stein Erickson how to slay pow on my 115mm underfoot twin tips. That’ll show him how to really ski powder, amateur.
