The Aspen Times is reporting that dogs in Aspen, Colorado are getting high from eating human feces tainted with marijuana.
A local vet in the area, Dr. Scott Dolginow, told the Aspen Times that he is treating anywhere between three and 10 dogs a week that come in with marijuana toxicity.
Dr. Dolginow believes that these dogs are finding the THC-laced poop on trails and in campgrounds. “Most dogs will eat human feces given the opportunity,” Dolginow said.
Unfortunately there’s not much vets or owners can do for a dog with marijuana toxicity. It’s best to just let the dogs ride it out.
