Think of it as penny-farthing racing on snow. Part historical reenactment/part actual athletics…100% good clean fun. Longboard racing goes all the way back to mid-1800s when miners in the High Sierras would race the skis they used to navigate deep snow and do their jobs.
Longboard World Championship Ski Races in Northern California brings out all types including Olympians…sorry to blow up the spot but Jonny Moseley recently strapped into the longboards for new series he’s hosting for California Tourism called “Jonny Moseley’s Wildest Dreams.” (May the spirit of Huell Howser be with you).
