This year’s FWT Verbier competition was chalk full of incredible moments but I was truly awe struck by 54 year old Steve Klassen sending it big from the top gate and holding his own on The Bec against riders half his age.
Steve won the inaugural Xtreme Verbier all the way back in 1994 and has five titles under his belt. FWT planned to hold a masters division but the rest of the competitors pulled out leaving Steve to compete against the regular field and he crushed it.
