An avalanche in Taos partially buried a house in Wednesday afternoon after crossing 3 roads.  A woman was home at the time of the slide. Rescue crews report she was alert but was taken to Holy Cross Hospital in Taos.  Avalanche dogs were deployed to confirm no else was caught in the avalanche.

A deadly avalanche struck Taos in January. The slide happened Kachina Peak. Dozens of resort guests joined in the rescue effort to dig out two young men who were buried. They did not survive.
