It’s incredible what retired winery engineer Dave Orton was able to achieve over two years with only a $20,000 conversion budget for his Ford Transit.  This badboy is now the ultimate stealth off-grid Campervan.

If you saw Dave’s van rolling down the street you’d never guess it sleeps two, seats four, and includes a toilet, kitchen and indoor shower. Orton designed an electrical system that provides adequate power without the need for shore power or a generator to keep the house battery charged aka equipped off-grid missions.

Great inspiration for anyone looking to live the vanlife but not announce it from a mile and a half away. Cheers to Dave for all the innovative ideas and not slowing down a touch in his retirement:
