After a fast start to the 18/19 ski season, snowfall totals across the western USA has leveled out. In terms of Snow Water Equivalent (how the USDA measures snowpack across large swaths of land), this year has been mostly average.

The exceptions include the Front Range of Colorado, northern and eastern New Mexico, as well as the Ruby Mountains of Nevada. The losers are most definitely the more coastal mountains of Oregon & Washington, as well as central Idaho.

Utah:
Deepest Base Depth: Alta/Snowbird — 70″
Wyoming:
Deepest Base Depth: Grand Targhee — 68″
Idaho:
Deepest Base Depth: Lookout Pass — 72″
Washington:
Deepest Base Depth: Mt Baker Ski Area — 142″
Oregon:
Deepest Base Depth: Mt Hood Meadows — 100″
California:
Deepest Base Depth: Soda Springs — 90″
New Mexico:
Deepest Base Depth: Ski Apache — 60″
